"The Evening Stroll"

The work consists of seventy two neon rings mounted atop individual, existing palm trees on the North and South sides of Las Olas Blvd from the intersection of Southeast Sixth Avenue to Southeast Eleventh Avenue. The rings, of pale gold and purple, are constructed of fifteen millimeter glass tubing and filled with argon gas with a mixture of mercury. Classic glass has been specifically selected for the Work that will provide vivid color to the Work even when not in operation. The tubing is then mounted to c-shaped plexiglass which is polished and hinged, in order to be fitted around each tree. The three block Work will highlight purple rings on the West end and gold on the East, with a blending of the colors in the center block.
